  • Stand straight, feet apart.
  • Turn your left foot outwards.

  • Now, turn the head to the left.
  • Let your breathing be regular and steady.
  • Bend the knee, such that the left thigh is parallel to the ground.
  • Hold for a few seconds, then, straighten the knee.
  • Repeat for the other leg.

This asana inspires heroism. It is a focusing and strengthening asana. The pose reinforces your association with the earth. Physically, it has an impact on almost the entire body.   • Stand straight, and keep your feet a little apart.
  • Turn the left leg at a 90 degree angle. Twist the right foot at a 45 degree angle.
  • Next revolve the torso and the chest to the left. Inhale; lift your arms above your head, joining the palms.
  • Inhale and bend the left knee, keeping it parallel to the ground.
  • Tip the head backwards, arching the back.
  • Hold for a few seconds; release.
  • Repeat with the right leg.
